KCS Marketing was started in 1997 in Ottawa, Ontario by 2 brothers, Jonathan and Andrew Hook. Originally labeled Kustom Computer Services, they repaired and sold used computers locally in Ottawa. The company has evolved a lot over the years as the interests, life situations and skill sets of the boys developed. The name was shortened to KCS Marketing as the nature of the company took on more of a marketing role. Over time, they have worked in a number of fields from computer repair, online marketing, website design, email filtering (developed an entire email filtering system from scratch in 2001), website/email hosting, and complete network administration. As skills were developed, the brothers began to specialize in their different fields. Andrew now runs Firewall Technical in Ottawa, offering onsite computer network consulting and administration to offices and small businesses in the city. Jonathan offers small business marketing consulting and specializes in helping small businesses use the power of the internet to increase sales.
